What Do You Want Jesus To Do For You?

One day, as Jesus was leaving town with his disciples and a large entourage in tow, a blind man named Bartimaeus started calling out to Jesus.  A couple of bystanders, urged him to quiet down.  But in his desperation, the Bible says "he shouted all the more 'Son of David, have mercy on me!'"  When he finally got Jesus' attention, the Lord came to him and asked Bartimaeus, "What do you want me to do for you?"  Not surprisingly, the blind man responded, "Rabbi, I want to see."

"'Go,' said Jesus, 'your faith has healed you.'  Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road."  (Mark 10:46-52)

It seems pretty backwards for the Son of God to ask a mere mortal "What do you want me to do for you?"  Yet, this is a question Jesus asked more than once.  And we believe it's a question he's still asking today.

For this reason, Irving Church desires to be a place of prayer.  We want to be part of Jesus' continued prayer ministry where he is meeting, healing, comforting and blessing people who need him today.  We attempt to do this primarily in 3 ways: prayer requests, healing prayer sessions, and altar prayer.

Prayer Requests

Do you want to be added to our prayer list?  Let us know your prayer needs, and our prayer team will begin praying for you today.

Healing Prayer Sessions

We would love to pray with you about any physical, emotional, or spiritual needs you may have.  Healing prayer sessions are 30-90 minutes long.  2-5 prayer ministers will take time listening, talking with you, and then praying for whatever it is you want Jesus to do for you.
